Helms Elementary won with the following submission:

“Our PTA believes celebrating and educating our community of the differences our children represent brings us together as a community. We accomplish this by celebrating our differences with important events such as: The All Abilities Play Date, Black History Month Events, Hispanic Heritage Festival, Loteria night and Lunar New Year Lion dances. We believe in creating awareness by inviting our community to celebrate differences such as wear red for dyslexia and light it up blue for autism.”
